Canadian darkwave band The Birthday Massacre released their new single “All of You” today via Metropolis Records. The track, now streaming on all platforms, is the second single from their upcoming album Pathways, set to drop on April 11th.

Formed in 1999 in London, Ontario, The Birthday Massacre—Chibi (vocals), Rainbow (guitar, synths, production), Falcore (guitar, production), Owen (keyboards), Nate Manor (bass), and Phil Elliot (drums)—has built a cult following with their blend of gothic rock, synth-pop, and industrial sounds. “All of You” leans into their signature style: shimmering synths, driving guitars, and Chibi’s ethereal vocals, layered over a pulsing beat. The lyrics explore themes of longing and connection, fitting the band’s often melancholic, cinematic aesthetic. The track was produced by Rainbow and Falcore, with mixing by Dave “Rave” Ogilvie, known for his work with Skinny Puppy and Nine Inch Nails.

“Pathways” marks the band’s ninth studio album, following 2022’s Fascination, which peaked at No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. The Birthday Massacre has a history of evolving their sound while staying true to their dark, nostalgic roots—think Violet (2004) or Pins and Needles (2010). Metropolis Records, a label known for industrial and goth acts, has backed the band since 2004.

The band’s tour with Magic Wands runs through April, hitting cities like New York (April 1, Irving Plaza) and Los Angeles (April 5, The Fonda Theatre). Stream “All of You” now and see if Pathways will break new ground or lean on familiar shadows.
