German power metal veterans Primal Fear have revealed the album cover for their 15th studio album, Domination, set to be released later this year via Reigning Phoenix Music (RPM). The band announced that the album is available for pre-order now at primalfear.rpm.link/dominationFB, with the first single and video, “Far Away,”. The single can be pre-saved at primalfear.rpm.link/farawayFB.
Formed in 1997 by vocalist Ralf Scheepers and bassist Mat Sinner, Primal Fear—now featuring guitarists Thalìa Bellazecca and Magnus Karlsson, and drummer André Hilgers—has been a cornerstone of the power metal scene for over 25 years. Domination, produced by Sinner and co-produced by Scheepers and Karlsson, with mixing and mastering by Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios in Denmark, promises to continue their legacy. The band shared their excitement on their official website, noting they had 25 songs to choose from, with Scheepers adding, “I haven’t felt as great in a long time as I did singing some of the new songs!”

Following their 2023 album Code Red, which reinforced their status in the metal scene, Primal Fear is also gearing up for a 21-show European tour starting September 5, 2025, in Hamburg, Germany, to celebrate Domination’s release. They’ll kick off their live run with a performance at Rock in Rautheim on May 9, featuring their energized new lineup. Tour details are available at primalfear.de/tour. For fans of Judas Priest, Helloween, or Gamma Ray, Domination is shaping up to be a must-hear. Pre-order and catch “Far Away” now! \m/
