Polish blackened death metal band Hate released their new single and video “Iphigenia” today, March 25, 2025. It’s the first track from their upcoming album “Bellum Regiis”, set to drop May 2 on Metal Blade Records.
Formed in Warsaw in 1990, Hate—vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, guitarist Domin, bassist Tiermes, and drummer Nar-Sil—delivers their 13th full-length with this release.

Produced by David Castillo at Gröndahl Studio in Stockholm, “Bellum Regiis” spans nine tracks:
- Bellum Regiis
- Iphigenia
- The Vanguard
- A Ghost of Lost Delight
- Rite of Triglav
- Perun Rising
- Alfa Inferi Goddess of War
- Prophet of Arkhen
- Ageless Harp of Devilry
The album explores humanity’s drive for power, drawing on Slavic and Greek mythology. Sinner notes the title track carries a “deep melancholy and grandeur,” with guest vocals by Eliza Sacharczuk adding a timeless feel. Fans have been praising their heavier black metal shift compared to 2021’s “Rugia”.
“HATE is back with another masterpiece! A crushing new opus of dark and epic anthems!” – Serpenth, Belphegor
The “Iphigenia” video, produced by 9 Liter Filmy, features Michał Staczkun on ambient layers. Pre-orders are live for CD, digital, and vinyl variants like 180g Black Grey Marble and Gold Blackdust. The band will join Venom Inc. and Krisiun for a European tour this spring. Watch “Iphigenia” now and grab your copy here.
