Swedish doom metal pioneers Candlemass released the title track “Black Star” from their forthcoming EP of the same name today, April 1, 2025, via Napalm Records. The four-track EP, set for release on May 9, marks the band’s 40th anniversary with two new songs and covers of Black Sabbath’s “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” and Pentagram’s “Forever My Queen.” The “Black Star” single, now streaming on YouTube and other platforms, comes with a dark, and atmospheric music video.
